RED PANEL SERIES: Privacy In A Digital Age

As conversation continues surrounding phone apps being able to listen to your conversations, and the ethical implications of just how targeted advertising is becoming, we’re gathering a panel of speakers to ask ourselves, “how much do these companies know about me, and how much do I care?”

While some might appreciate being served solutions in a conveniently timed ad, some may be reducing their social media usage and increasing their security settings to better guard their personal information. There’s no right and wrong when it comes to how much information you’re willing to offer our Facebook overlords, but how much do we really know about how it affects us?

Join us on March 13th for an interactive discussion on privacy in a digital age, and how it might affect us as consumers in the long run. We’ll be welcoming a handful of speakers to share their expertise, and opening discussion up to the audience to share their experience with digital privacy and ask any questions that might be plaguing Vancouver’s digital community.
