Speaker Bio

Andrew Reid is the Founder and CEO of Rival Technologies and Founder and Former President of Vision Critical. As an entrepreneur, Andrew’s purpose is to close the gap between how people live their digital lives and how companies engage with people for insights.

In 2000, Andrew disrupted traditional market research when he founded Vision Critical, a software company that empowered hundreds of organizations to engage with their customers through online communities. Vision Critical went on to become a global company and an important pillar in the Vancouver technology space.

In 2017, Andrew launched Rival Technologies to once again help modernize the research industry. Rival’s platform, Chat Lab, allows companies to engage their customers, employees and fans through SMS, Facebook Messenger and other communication platforms people use every day. By making it seamless for companies to leverage messaging platforms to understand consumer attitudes and opinions, Rival is making research more fun, human and conversational.

Andrew has been selected as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and was further honoured as one of Canada’s top 40 under 40 by Caldwell Partners International and The Globe and Mail.
