Mobilizing VR/AR talent impacted by COVID-19

Launch Academy is proud to support the Vancouver VR/AR Association and Shape Immersive’s COVID19 response program to mobilize the VR/AR industry’s talent to work on global VR/AR projects.

Due to the pandemic, many companies have slashed budgets and cancelled innovation projects. However, VR/AR interest remains high and could help solve COVID-19 related problems. VR/AR solutions such as remote assistance for seniors, virtual try-on applications for e-commerce and virtual training for health care professionals become more relevant than ever.

As we adjust to this new physically distanced world, VR/AR has the potential to bring us closer.

Vancouver and BC have one of the top VR/AR talent pools in the world and we can’t wait to see how the community can be brought together to create valuable solutions for industries that are impacted by COVID-19.
