Launch CEO Ray Walia Inducted in BC Innovators Hall of Fame

Ray Walia, CEO of Launch, has been inducted into the BC Innovators Hall of Fame. This prestigious accolade, presented by the BC Tech Association in partnership with the Government of British Columbia, honors leaders who have made a significant impact on the province by enriching its technology and innovation ecosystem and building a stronger BC economy.
The Business in Vancouver (BIV)’s special article highlights Walia’s pivotal role in establishing Launch Academy as one of Western Canada’s leading incubators.
Under Ray’s leadership, Launch Academy has supported over 6,000 entrepreneurs from more than 100 countries, with 300 of these ventures securing seed and series A funding and raising a total of more than $2.5 billion. In addition to his work at Launch, Walia also runs the Traction conference, which has attracted over 120,000 tech leaders to Vancouver, further establishing the city as a hub of innovation.
Walia’s journey from a young founder to a serial entrepreneur with years of experience in both the entertainment and technology sectors is a testament to his resilience, vision, and leadership.
