  • Improve on an existing business idea/ product
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the startup world

“In the past year and a half, the world has simultaneously been in a state of constant change and come to a jarring halt. This has been a difficult time for a lot of people, but in particular for the younger workforce. Fortunately, a few of these workers have started to explore entrepreneurship and are aspiring to launch their own startups. Launch Academy, which is for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, is stepping in to help.” – Ray Walia, Co-Founder and CEO of Launch Academy.

Set up as a non-profit in 2012, Launch Academy started as a simple idea: a few desks and a vision to get aspiring entrepreneurs out of mom and dad’s garage and into an environment around fellow entrepreneurs. Launch quickly found out how much help aspiring entrepreneurs need when launching their startup idea. Fast forward 9 years later and the tech hub has incubated over 6000 entrepreneurs with 300 growing beyond seed stage and collectively raising over $1.2 Billion in funding.

Launch Academy offers a variety of programs and resources for entrepreneurs including its online program ‘Launch Your Startup’ consisting of online sessions guided by a tried-and-tested startup growth roadmap framework, bringing together the best of the lean startup ecosystem and from entrepreneurial masters and practitioners. The course was created on the Thinkific platform, one of Canada’s newest Unicorn companies, which also happens to be an alumni of Launch Academy.

Founded on the values of innovation, opportunities and accountability, Launch Academy addresses the lack of startup education and resources affecting Canadian entrepreneurs. Launch Academy has established a virtual learning environment where ideas are vetted, business models are tested and successes are celebrated.

“The ‘Launch Your Startup’ Program has consistently received 4.8 stars out of 5 stars. It has proven itself to be the best of its kind in Western Canada.” says Alex Chuang, Co-Founder and Director of Launch Academy.
