Speaker Bio
Brooke Wade is the President of Wade Capital Corporation, a private investment holding company.
Prior to launching Wade Capital, Brooke lead the reorganization and turnaround of a diversified company which became Methanex Corporation, the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol. By the time Brooke left Methanex in 1994, the company had more than 800 employees, sales in excess of $1.7 billion and a market capitalization of over $3 billion.
After leaving Methanex, Brooke acquired the acetyls division of a major French conglomerate (with plants in France and Spain) and founded Acetex Corporation. He served as chair and CEO of Acetex until its sale in 2005. In July 2005, Acetex was acquired by Blackstone, a transaction valued at approximately US $500 million.
Brooke serves on many corporate and community boards including the Dean’s Advisory Council of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
