6:45-7:00PM – KEYNOTE – Spark AR Keynote by Taylor Loren, Head of Content Marketing at Later

7:00-7:45PM – WORKSHOP – Introduction to Spark AR workshop by Mike Peredo (Department Head of Video Games at SC Institute of the Arts and Founder of Look Ahead Labs)

Mike Peredo is a veteran of the Vancouver animation and games industries with a career spanning multiple decades. He has worked on an animated series, big budget games, special effects and lots of indie projects. Since 2016 Mike has been focusing mainly on VR and AR development. He is also an educator who has developed and taught animation courses for VFS, VanArts and UBC. Mike is currently Department Head of Video Games at SC Institute of the Arts and developing courses for Spark AR through his company Look Ahead Labs.

7:45-8:00PM – OUTRODUCTION – Yes, I know, ‘outroduction’ isn’t a real word, but you know exactly what it means. The AWE Nite team will close off the night with a few announcements and a bit of useful information for you to take to infinity and beyond.
